The IPL(Indian Premier League) is a domestic, Twenty20 annual cricket tournament held in India. It was established in 2008 and currently consists of eight teams in eight cities across India. The first IPL in 2008 was won by Rajasthan Royal team and the Runner-up team was Chennai Super Kings. In this article, we will know who has won the IPL from season 2008-2018 and who has got orange cap and purple cap for the season.
The orange cap is an annual cricket award given to the most run scorer in the Indian Premier League. While the Purple Cap is an annual cricket award given to the most wicket-taker in the Indian Premier League. The former teams are Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Daredevils (DD), Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Mumbai Indians (MI), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

1. IPL 2008

The IPL 2008 Won by Rajasthan Royals, which was held on 1st June 2008. While the Runner-up team was Chennai Super Kings.
Orange Cap Player: Shaun Marsh (KXIP), he had scored 616 Runs.
Purple Cap Player: Sohail Tanvir(RR), he had taken 22 Wickets.


2. IPL 2009

The IPL 2009 Won by Deccan Charges, which was held on 24th May 2009. While the Runner-up team was Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Orange Cap Player: Matthew Hayden(CSK), he had scored 572 Runs.

11. IPL 2018

The IPL 2018 Won by Chennai Super Kings, which was held on 27th May 2018. While the Runner-up team was Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Orange Cap Player: Kane Williamson(SRH), he had scored 735 Runs.
Purple Cap Player: Andrew Tye(KXIP), he had taken 24 Wickets.
